IND vs ENG: Pitch Report by Michael Atherton

"With the rain around, the covers have done their job. There are a few cracks on the pitch but they are not moving. I feel the ball will skid off the surface when the spinners are bowling. Don't think we will see uneven bounce as seen in the first semi-final in Trinidad.

The average first-inning score in day games here is 167. England like to chase and I feel with the rain around, they will fancy chasing today. It will be a low skiddy pitch and the spinners will get a good amount of assistance."

IND vs ENG: Captain's Thoughts

Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "No! We would have batted first. The weather looks good now. Whatever was to happen has happened. Looks good now. We want to put runs on the board. Looks a bit drier. As the game progresses, it tends to go slower and slower. We have managed pretty well. We understand the challenges of playing in such a tournament, which involves lots of travelling and logistics.

It's a great opportunity for the guys to perform at this bigger stage. We need to play good cricket. The guys know the mantra. We don't want to think too far ahead. We want to stay in the present. We want to let our game do the talking. Yes, we are going with the same team."

Jos Buttler (England Captain): "We would like to bowl first. It looks a decent surface but feel the ball will stay a bit low. We have played well. We have been peaking at the right time and happy with it so far. We are playing with the same team. Really proud with how consistent we are in the T20 World Cups. Looking forward to facing India today.

The mood is good in the camp. We know we are playing a tough team but most of the guys are in this situation previously and know what to do. We are playing with the same team."
