Finally, the wait is over, as the T20 World Cup 2024 has got its two finalists. On Saturday, June 29, India will face South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados in the finals.

India

India brought their top game against England as they handed the defending champions a 68-run defeat. The bowlers were the stars of the game, particularly the spinners, who picked up 6 wickets in the last match. 

Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel have provided stability in the spin department, while Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh are shining in the seam department. 

However, the management needs to discuss Shivam Dube's place in the playing XI, who has not contributed anything major in this tournament with the bat. Dube scored a golden duck against the Three Lions. It is to be seen whether India bench the CSK star and bring in Sanju Samson or rather Yashasvi Jaiswal back to open, as Virat Kohli also seems to be struggling while opening the innings.

South Africa

Talking about the players, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks are doing well at the top. Further, Aiden Markram also gained some confidence after staying unbeaten against Afghanistan.

One area where the South African management sweats hard is their lower-middle order. Notably, Marco Jansen comes to bat at No. 7, and lack of batting depth is a major issue for the Proteas. The same situation was exploited against West Indies as they were on the brink of an early exit because of a late batting collapse. 

Nonetheless, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje are in top form, and Indian batters must be wary of their pace, which also troubled Afghanistan.
