India's two star batters Harmanpreet Kaur and Shafali Verma moved up to the latest ICC T20I rankings in the middle of the ongoing Women's Asia Cup. They, at present, are joined 11th, as confirmed by the latest ICC media release on Tuesday.

While Verma was one of the superstars of India's thumping victory over Pakistan, having made 40 off 29 balls with the help of six fours and one six, Kaur scored an unbeaten five to secure a seven-wicket victory over the Women in Green.


"Captain Kaur and opener Verma are in joint-11th position after their performances in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka," an ICC statement read.

India, placed in Group A, saw off an easy 109-run target in just 14.1 overs, with Smriti Mandhana also making headlines with a 31-ball 45.

Meanwhile, Beth Mooney tops the chart, having got 769 rating points. Tahlia McGrath, Hayley Matthews, Laura Wolvaardt occupy the next three spots, while Smriti Mandhana, is at the fifth place, with 731 points.

India will next play against Nepal later tonight (July 23) at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla.
