Hardik Pandya-Mohammed Shami grace BCCI event!
The new NCA rebranded as BCCI Centre of Excellence was inaugurated on September 29 at Bengaluru in the presence of outgoing BCCI secretary Jay Shah and BCCI president Roger Binny.
Hardik Pandya, India's star all-rounder, and Mohammed Shami, one of the country's premier fast bowlers, have both spent considerable time at the NCA during their respective careers, especially during injury rehabilitation phases. Hence, the duo marked their presence to celebrate BCCI's new and promising avenue.
Notably, the BCCI Centre of Excellence is spread through 40 acres of land with as many as 86 pitches (indoor and outdoor), a floodlight facility, and an excellent drainage system. Not only that, BCCI plans to make the services available to Olympic athletes such as Neeraj Chopra and other medal prospects as well.
Hardik Pandya eyeing Test return!
In a major development, Baroda cricket officials anonymously claimed that Hardik Pandya has made himself available for selection for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, thus sparking rumours of his potential Test return.
Hardik Pandya, who hasn't played a Test since 2018, was recently seen practicing with red ball as well. However, it remains to be seen if physical fitness allows Hardik to transition back into red ball cricket as he grapples with injury issues.
