Bangladesh humiliated Pakistan in the second Test match at Rawalpindi to seal the Test series with a margin of 2-0.

With that victory, Bangladesh have climbed to number 4 spot in the points table, while Pakistan have crashed out of the race for the WTC finale.

Bangladesh create history in Rawalpindi

At one stage, it looked like Pakistan have the upper hand, when their bowlers knocked over 6 Bangladesh wickets inside 30 runs. However, the turnaround happened when the duo of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Litton Das resurrected the innings and flipped the the tides in their favour.

Litton hogged all the limelight as the talented keeper-batter smacked a brilliant 138 and played the innings of his life to bail his team out of a precarious situation. As it stood, Bangladesh needed 185 runs in their second innings to seal the series, and the target was overhauled with relative ease.

Every Bangladesh batter chipped in with runs as the target was achieved with 6-wickets in hand. After the embarrassing defeat, the Pakistan side were bashed on social media, with fans taking a dig at their star players, including Babar Azam.







Humiliation for Pakistan at home

The last time Pakistan won a Test series dates back to 2021, when they defeated the South African side. Since then, they have suffered defeats at the hands of Australia, England, New Zealand and now Bangladesh.

They shockingly lost the first Test by 10-wickets, and despite being in a strong position in the second Test, the team failed to capitalise and once again lost the Test match.

Moreover, this loss has more or less confirmed that the Asian team have crashed out of the WTC finale race (mathematically).
