Day 3 of the 2nd Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh is underway at the Rawalpindi Stadium. The visitors were in the driver's seat after play on day 2, as Mehidy Hasan Miraj's five-wicket haul restricted the hosts to just 274 runs.

However, the tables turned on day 3, as Pakistan have started the first session on a high. Bangladesh have lost six wickets within one hour of play. The credit goes to Khurram Shahzad, who is breathing fire with the new ball. 

The right-arm seamer drew the first blood by taking Zakir Hasan's wicket, but he stole the limelight in the eighth over of the match, when he took two big wickets in the same over.

Khurram Shahzad Takes Wickets For Fun In Rawalpindi

On the first ball, he bowled Shadman Islam, while he castled skipper Najmul Shanto's stumps on the fourth ball of the same over. Shanto also struggled against Khurram in the first Test, where he found himself in a similar situation and stumps were shattered. In the ongoing match, Shanto returned to the pavilion with a score of just 4 (6), which featured a solitary four. 

Other than that, Khurram also got the big wicket of Shakib Al Hasan as he trapped him in front of the wickets. At the time of writing this article, Bangladesh are 36/6. Meanwhile, Pakistan would be happy as the first day was washed out because of rain and with this bowling performance, they can hope for a result. 

Shahzad Troubled Babar Azam In The Nets

Khurram showcased his potential as a fast bowler even before the start of the series when he troubled Babar Azam in the nets and got him clean bowled.

Not once, but a similar instance occurred after the first Test when Babar struggled to face Khurram in the nets and even edged one of the deliveries to slip.
