Before the highly anticipated season of IPL 2025, CSK's darling Thala, MS Dhoni, has offered prayers at the Deori Maa temple in advance, seeking blessings from the power divine. Fans could be seen waiting at the temple to catch a glimpse of Dhoni.
MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and known to the fans as 'Thala', will be back for the IPL 2025 season. The 43-year-old has confirmed that he will return despite fitness issues and the franchise honoured his commitment by making a retention offer.
Dhoni was retained as an uncapped player for INR 2 crore as the IPL governing body relaxed the rules for retired players. Recently, the former captain was also spotted training at CSK camp.

Meanwhile, before the kick off of IPL 2025, MS Dhoni paid a visit to Deori Maa temple in his home town Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dhoni is a devout worshipper of the deity and often goes to the temple to seek his blessings before any big events.
He came to the temple seeking good luck for the IPL 2025 season. The images of his visit were everywhere on social media, with people showing appreciation and gratitude for the gesture and faith of their icon.
MS Dhoni will play as a wicket-keeper batter for CSK in the next IPL season. He relinquished captaincy in IPL 2024 to appoint Ruturaj Gaikwad as his successor. However, the 43-year-old was visibly the man in control as he often set the field while Gaikwad watched the proceedings from the deep.

The Coldplay music band recently held a big concert in Mumbai. Thousands of music lovers thronged the venue to witness the euphoric musical vibe. Meanwhile, a die-hard CSK fan added a unique twist to the musical concert. As Chris Martin recited the song ‘Yellow,’ a fan pulled up a CSK jersey featuring MS Dhoni’s name and jersey number 7 and waved proudly to pay his tribute to the former legend.
