The Sylhet Strikers are taking on the Khulna Tigers in the 32nd match of the BPL 2024-25. This match will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, Bangladesh.

The Strikers won the toss and decided to first. Rony Talukdar fell early, and the Strikers were under pressure. However, George Munsey played an aggressive knock and, along with Zakir Hasan, led the foundation for the team.

The Scottish opener, George Munsey, was looking particularly dangerous. The southpaw scored 58 runs off 32 deliveries and tore apart the bowlers of the Tigers. His innings was decorated with six fours and four sixes. 

The left-handed opener looked ominous and could have taken the game away from the Tigers if he batted further. However, Abu Hider Rony put an end to Munsey's sparkling knock in the eighth over. 

Abu Hider Ends George Munsey's Stay In The Middle

On the fourth ball of the over, Hider bowled a back of a length slower delivery at the off and middle stump line. Munsey, who was carrying great momentum, tried to swing across the line and heave it over the mid-wicket fence. However, he missed the delivery completely and it crashed onto the stumps, ending the stay of the left-handed opener.

Immediately after the wicket, Hider brought out the aeroplane celebration for which the ex-Pakistani pacer, Shoaib Akhtar was famous. He also punched the air like Brett Lee used to do after picking up wickets. The Strikers managed to post a total of 152/9 at the end of their 20 overs.
