Cricket Returns To J And K As Kashmir To Host Finals Of Legends League Cricket

In a delight for cricket fans in Jammu & Kashmir, white-ball cricket will be returning to the valley after nearly 40 years. On Wednesday, August 28, Legends League Cricket announced their schedule for the forthcoming season and stated the tournament's final would take place that the final leg of the tournament will take place in Kashmir. 

The 25-match tournament will spread across four cities− Jodhpur, Surat, Jammu and finally in Srinagar.

Legends League Cricket will kick off at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur, followed by a second leg in Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat on the 27th of September. 

For the 3rd leg, LLC will depart for J&K, as Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu. The finals of the LLC will be played at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar from 10th of October 2024.

India's top stars will go under the hammer during an auction in New Delhi on August 29. Recently, Shikhar Dhawan and Dinesh Karthik announced that they would feature in the upcoming edition of LLC. 

Ranji Trophy Too Set To Return To Kashmir

In a significant development meant to boost cricket in the valley of Kashmir, BCCI has scheduled two Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season games at the Sher-I-Kashmir Stadium situated in Srinagar in the month of October.

Srinagar's Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium last hosted an international in the year 1986 between India and Australia on September 9.
