Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq recently tied the knot with Anmol Mehmood in Lahore. The lavish wedding ceremony was attended by a number of cricketing personalities, including Usman Qadir, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Kamran Akmal, and Imam’s uncle and former chief selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Moreover, Imam-ul-Haq’s senior teammate and former Pakistan captain Babar Azam also attended the event, which gathered significant attention on social media.

Shortly after the wedding festivities, Babar playfully wished his teammate for his momentous occasion and jokingly told him not to forget his friends in the wake of his wedding.

Shortly after Imam-ul-Haq’s wedding, Pakistan batting veteran Babar Azam took to X (formerly Twitter) and playfully wished his teammate on his momentous occasion. Babar also jokingly instructed Imam to not forget his friends just because he is now married. He wrote:

“Time to open your new innings of life @ImamUlHaq12! 🎆 Best of luck in the new journey. May it bring all the happiness in the world. Please try to spend some time with your friends as well from now. Bhool na jana.”

Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam recently turned up for Pakistan at the 2023 World Cup in India. Under the latter’s guidance, the ‘Men in Green’ lost five of their nine league fixtures to crash out of the semifinals race.

The two cricketers are selected among an 18-player group for Pakistan’s forthcoming tour of Australia. Under new captain Shan Masood, Pakistan will engage in a three-match Test series with the hosts, where the matches will form a part of the ongoing 2023–25 ICC World Test Championship (WTC).

The first of the three Tests will commence on December 14 at the Perth Stadium.
