Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq and Anmol Mehmood recently tied the knot in Lahore. The couple’s wedding ceremony has since been the talk of the town for its striking resemblance to Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif's wedding to actor Vicky Kaushal.

The attacking batter, in an Instagram post, shared a heartfelt message about his wedding as he highlighted the deep bond of friendship that underpins their relationship.

“Today, we’ve not only become partners for life but have also solidified the bond of best friendship, which has always been the foundation of our love story. Today, I not only married my best friend but also found my forever home in your heart. Forever grateful for a love that feels like a friendship and a friendship that is our greatest blessing. This journey is uniquely ours, a beautiful symphony of love, laughter, and endless dreams, In Sha Allah. Keep us in your prayers,” wrote Imam.

The wedding, a grand affair of days-long festivities, was a splendid celebration, with the bride and groom looking gorgeous in their carefully chosen attire. 

Imam was dapper in an embroidered grey sherwani paired with matching trousers and traditional khusas. Anmol Mehmood, the bride, stole the show in a pastel-printed floral saree, complete with a trailing veil, reminiscent of Katrina Kaif’s iconic bridal look.

Anmol's subtle makeup, enhanced with a touch of bronze eyeshadow, added to her elegant appearance. Her ensemble was complemented by a traditional set of jewelry, featuring a choker and earrings filled with pink and maroon stones, and a customised headband with a teeka.

The couple's photoshoot evoked a sense of déjà vu among their fans, drawing parallels to Katrina Kaif's wedding event. The resemblance was noted not just in Anmol's attire but also in the choice of the photoshoot location, which closely mirrored that of Katrina's. This observation sparked a flurry of comments from their followers, with many pointing out the Bollywood-inspired theme of the event.
