In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto took Bangladesh’s captain hat on Tuesday (November 28) during their first Test of the two-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. The stylish 25-year-old batsman began aggressively after coming to bat at No. 3, having smacked three sixes and two fours while racing to 37 off 35 balls.
However, he failed to keep up the momentum going, as a ruthless unnecessary shot against Glenn Phillips ended his entertaining knock.
