Hardik Pandya has left Gujarat Titans to re-join the Mumbai Indians camp for the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The dynamic all-rounder led the Titans to IPL glory during his maiden captaincy assignment in 2022, and guided them to another appearance in the final before announcing his exit from the franchise.

After Pandya was traded back to Mumbai Indians, the 30-year-old cricketer has now expressed his gratitude to the Gujarat Titans team management and fans, stating that leading the team during his stay was an absolute honour for him.

Hardik Pandya shares heartfelt note for GT fans

Hardik Pandya has extended his gratitude towards the fans and the entire team management of Gujarat Titans.

The cricketer stated that he is extremely grateful of the love and support he received during his time at the franchise, and his experiences there will forever hold a special place in his heart.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the fans, team, and management at Gujarat Titans. Being part of the team and leading it has been an absolute honour, and I am immensely thankful for the love and encouragement my family and I have received as a player and as an individual. The memories and experiences with Gujarat Titans will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the unforgettable journey.”

Hardik Pandya launched his IPL journey back in 2015 through the Mumbai Indians. Being part of an IPL-winning unit under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy four times during his seven-year stay at the franchise, the dynamic all-rounder ended his association ahead of 2022 season to join one of the newest-entrants to the tournament, the Gujarat Titans.

Pandya led the Titans during his two-year stay, before his subsequent exit forced the franchise to appoint rising star Shubman Gill as their new captain.
