Anil Kumble Hails Yashasvi Jaiswal For Satisfactory Performances In Tests Vs ENG

Former Indian team Head Coach Anil Kumble recently praised young opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal for his recent performances against England. Across the four Test matches, Jaiswal put 655 runs on the board while shattering numerous records.

The youngster got his maiden double hundred in Vizag, before repeating the feat in Rajkot, proving to be a great asset for the Indian team

While talking to JioCinema, the veteran spinner discussed that Yashasvi Jaiswal will be immensely satisfied with the kind of series he has had, beginning from the first test match in Hyderabad. 

"Yashasvi Jaiswal will be very satisfied with the series that he has had. He has two more innings in Dharamsala, he will be satisfied with the performance that he has been able to churn, right from the first innings in Hyderabad,” Kumble said.

While further talking about his technical abilities and the variation he brings to the squad as a left-hand opening batter. 

“Generally, he has been in control of all his stroke-making, his defence, situational awareness, and cricketing mind that has come to effect in all his innings has been fantastic. It's wonderful and augurs well for India. He is a left-handed opener and it has been a while since we have had that in the Indian team," the veteran cricketer added.

India clinched a close victory in the fourth Test match as they sealed the series 3-1 and a match remaining in Dharamshala. The following became the first test series win since England opted for the Bazball approach in red ball cricket.
