The Duleep Trophy round 2 has kicked-off and with India's Test series against Bangladesh set to start in a week's time, the star-power is missing from the coveted domestic competition.

The likes of Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, have headed back to join the Indian camp, and it provides the perfect opportunity for the youngsters to showcase their class in the round 2 of the Duleep Trophy.

Sarfaraz Khan is the lone member from the India Test team to feature in the Duleep Trophy match. With that, we take a look at 3 players who can stamp their authority in the round 2 matches of this coveted tournament.

Rinku Singh

For some bizarre reason, Rinku Singh was not picked in the Duleep Trophy squad for Round 1, but that mistake has been corrected as the talented Uttar Pradesh batter was roped in the India B squad, led by Abhimanyu Easwaran.

The KKR batter has a phenomenal first-class record, aggregating 3173 runs in 47 matches, with an average of 54.70. The southpaw already has racked up 7 centuries, and with team India exploring more left-handers in their middle-order, the ongoing Duleep trophy games provide a perfect opportunity for Rinku to knock on the doors of the selectors.

Musheer Khan

Musheer Khan is on a dream first-class run at the moment, and it was evident in the round 1 of the Duleep Trophy. He slammed a brilliant 181 in the first innings against India A, and eclipsed Sachin Tendulkar's record of the fourth-most runs scored on Duleep Trophy debut.

With his elder brother, Sarfaraz Khan already in the Indian Test team, Musheer, too, has a great chance to stamp his authority. The India team management have to look beyond the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in Tests, and Musheer, if he continues to perform, can be a brilliant option in the middle-order for India.

Ishan Kishan

The last 9 months have been tough for Ishan Kishan. Due to personal reasons, he skipped the South African tour last year, and eventually he was axed from the BCCI central contract list. With Rishabh Pant back in the Test side, and Dhruv Jurel as the second-choice keeper, the road for Kishan has become tougher.

However, he does have a glimmer of hope. Playing for India C, Ishan Kishan has a golden opportunity to showcase his batting and keeping skills. India needs a bit more flamboyance in their batting lineup and Kishan can provide just that. A brilliant round 2 match against India B, and he could be on the selector's radar once again.
