When all the other batters struggled to put bat on ball, a teenage sensation, Musheer Khan, showed his class and smacked a mammoth 181-runs on his Duleep Trophy debut against India A at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

On a spicy wicket, with a tinge of grass on it, the India B batters struggled for runs. Barring Yashasvi Jaiswal, who started on an aggressive note, the others simply failed to deliver the goods.

After a couple of delightful strokes, Jaiswal departed for 30, and others followed him soon as the middle-order batters fell like a pack of cards. With the team struggling, one man stood tall, and that was the younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan - Musheer.

The teenage sensation was calm and composed and found an unlikely partner in Navdeep Saini, as the duo took the India B score past the 300-run mark. Musheer looked dominant throughout the innings and slammed a majestic 181.

Courtesy of his stellar knock, Musheer went past Sachin Tendulkar's 33-year-old record in Duleep Trophy. Musheer's knock was the fourth highest-score for a teenager on Duleep Trophy debut. Sachin on his debut, scored a brilliant 159, playing for West Zone against East Zone in 1991.

Despite his heroic efforts, Musheer couldn't scrap past Baba Aparajith and Yash Dhull, and Vinod Kambli, who have notched up the highest scores by a teenager on Duleep Trophy debut.

Musheer Khan, the next big thing in Indian cricket

Musheer Khan has had a stellar first-class career so far. The teenage sensation has played just 7 matches, and has already racked up 3 centuries and a half-century.

The Mumbai batter has slammed 710 runs in 11 red-ball innings, with an average of 64.54, and is already giving headache to the selectors. If he keeps on performing like this, the selectors might have no choice, but to select him for the upcoming India tour.
