The second round of the  is currently underway with India A and India D clash at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur on September 12.

A magical moment occurred during the Duleep Trophy 2024 game between India A and India D, as Kolkata Knight Riders' duo Shreyas Iyer and Harshit Rana combined forces to dismiss Shashwat Rawat and further jolt the Mayank Agarwal led team at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur.

In the 25th over, the right arm fast medium bowler Rana unleashed a back of a length delivery from wide outside outside off, Shashwat was surprised with the bounce as he hopped in the crease and threw his bat away from body to get the outside edge, unfortunately. Captain Shreyas Iyer, stationed at the slip, took a brilliant catch.

With this wicket, half of India A were back in the hut well within the first session of the day.

India D rattles Mayank Agarwal and Co

In an earlier match, India A faced significant challenges after losing captain Mayank Agarwal cheaply to Vidhwath Kaverappa. Pratham Singh, who replaced Shubman Gill, also struggled and fell to a sharp bouncer.

Tilak Varma's dismissal soon followed, shortly after Riyan Parag was out for 37 runs, dismissed by Arshdeep Singh with a well-placed delivery and an intelligent catch by Devdutt Padikkal. Parag's wicket triggered a collapse for India A, leading to two more quick dismissals. However, it was a humongous maximum during his time at the crease that stole the show.

Saransh Jain removed Tilak Varma, while Harshit Rana got Shashwat Rawat out with a sharp catch by Shreyas Iyer. As it stands, India A is in a precarious position at 109 for five, with Kumar Kushagra and Shams Mulani at the crease, scoring 15* and 10*, respectively.

At the time of writing, India A are at 94/5.
