The squads for the second round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25 have been updated as several key players are joining India’s Test squad for the Bangladesh series. Among them are Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav, Dhruv Jurel, and Akash Deep, necessitating replacements in the India A and B squads.
For India A, Mayank Agarwal has been appointed captain. The squad now includes Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, SK Rasheed, Shams Mulani, and Aaqib Khan, who replace the departing players. Agarwal will lead a talented team, which also features Riyan Parag, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, and fast bowlers Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan.
In India B, Rinku Singh and Suyash Prabhudessai have been brought in as replacements for Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant. Additionally, fast bowler Yash Dayal has earned his maiden national call-up, while Sarfaraz Khan will still be available for the second round. Himanshu Mantri has also been added to strengthen the batting lineup under the leadership of Abhimanyu Easwaran.
India D, led by Shreyas Iyer, has also seen changes. Axar Patel will join the national team, with Nishant Sindhu taking his place, while Vidwath Kaverappa steps in for the injured Tushar Deshpande.
