Manchester Originals finally tasted victory in this competitive The Hundred 2024 season as they beat London Spirit by 12 runs while defending a low-scoring total.

Phil Salt's half-century, supported by Max Holden's 38 runs off 29 balls finish, steered Originals to 135 runs total.

While the total seemed below par, London Spirit choked in the chase. Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled brilliantly to chip three important wickets, including the one of dangerous Andre Russell.

Shimron Hetmyer's late fight wasn't enough as Manchester put an end to its five-game troubling losing streak.
