The Bangladesh Test team is all set to travel to Pakistan on August 12, five days earlier than their scheduled arrival to prepare for the two-match Test series starting on August 21 in Rawalpindi.

The reason for their early arrival is the political turmoil in Bangladesh and coming early to Pakistan will provide the team with much-needed practice in a peaceful environment ahead of the important series.

It was PCB that first provided the idea of Bangladesh players arriving early and assured of all the training facilities for the extended period in Rawalpindi ahead of the Test series. Interestingly, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have still not announced the squad for the series, but the A team has already reached Pakistan and many of the Test regulars are part of that contingent.

Foreign Coaching Staff Not Available Due To Crisis

It has also been confirmed that the foreign coaching staff of Bangladesh will not be participating in the practice sessions due to travel restrictions amidst political turmoil in the country.

The situation in Bangladesh has improved a bit in the last couple of days, but there is still uncertainty and a shade of Anarchy in the country which has made the job of BCB a bit tough ahead of the series.
