Phil Salt smashed his first fifty in the Hundred 2024 with a monstrous six of 101-metre against London Spirits. He scored 58 off 41 balls, and hit two sixes and four fours, one of those six was the one he hammered on the roof of Lord's against Olly Stone on the 67th ball of the match.

It was a short delivery, outside off and Salt picked the length quickly and just pulled it with great ease over deep mid-wicket for his second maximum. He, however, could not carry on and get a big score, and Olly Stone got his revenge on the 81st ball to stage a mini-collapse.

Phil Salt's Poor Form In The Hundred 2024

The season overall has not been great for Phil Salt both as a captain and as a batter. Manchester Originals have lost all their five games so far in the absence of Jos Buttler and Salt who was the man in form before the season started, could not deliver with the bat for his team. 

London Spirit, on the other hand, also need a win to climb up the ladder and it is turning out to be quite an interesting contest with both team desperate for two crucial points on the board.
