Indian cricketers are enjoying the off-season to the fullest and ex-Royal Challengers Bengaluru spinner Shahbaz Ahmed embarked on a new journey in his personal life by tying the knot with a Kashmiri woman named Dr. Shaista Amin.

Shahbaz Ahmed, a promising all-rounder, rose to fame with his prominence in the IPL, playing for the popular franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

However, Ahmed was traded to Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he continued to thrive in the limited-over format.

Owing to his IPL brilliance, Shahbaz Ahmed was promoted to the Indian cricket team and made his debut in 2022. 

Originally from Haryana, Ahmed shifted base to Bengal and completed his engineering degree during the pandemic as he left his studies mid-way to pursue his dream and passion.

That being said, Shahbaz Ahmed, 29, unlocked a personal milestone this week as he married Dr. Shaista Amin, a native of Kashmir.

The wedding was a traditional affair, steeped in the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. Moreover, the ceremony was held in an intimate setting at the bride’s home, attended by close family members and friends.

As per reports, Ahmed is likely to host a grand reception in his hometown in Haryana on August 10. 

Notably, Shahbaz Ahmed was ignored for the recently concluded T20 series against Sri Lanka as the Indian cricket team appeared more inclined towards the growth of another all-rounder, Riyan Parag.

Ahmed last played a T20 in the Asian Games final which happened to be only his second T20I game. Besides, he also played three ODIs and scalped 3 wickets with a 4.81 economy.
