As the curtains prepare to rise on the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 final on Monday, March 18 at Karachi's National Stadium, all eyes are on the Multan Sultans as they gear up to clash with Islamabad United.

The Sultans, who have been the cream of the crop throughout the tournament, finishing at the top of the PSL 2024 points table, booked their spot in the final with a stunning victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier.

The opening duo of Yasir Khan, who was brilliant in the Qualifier with a scintillating fifty, and Mohammad Rizwan, the tournament's second-highest run-scorer, will open the innings.

The backbone of the team, the middle order, possesses Usman Khan, who has been a revelation this season. Ranking third in the run-getting charts, Usman has been a force to reckon with, decorating the tournament with two hundreds.

Meanwhile, Johnson Charles, who stumbled to 11 off 17 balls in his last outing, could be a change that Multan might look to make. Dawid Malan is a potential candidate to replace him, however, they would refrain from doing so in order to stick to the winning combination.

The lower middle order and the bowling brigade of Multan Sultans have been in terrific form. Chris Jordan, who emerged as the linchpin of the bowling attack with a two-wickets in the last game, is a shoo-in at No. 7. The quartet of David Willey, Mohammad Ali, Usama Mir, and Abbas Afridi rounds off a bowling unit that is expected to hold the line.
