Rilee Rossouw-led Quetta Gladiators will cross swords against Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi in match 25 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League season. While the Zalmi occupy the third position with nine points to their name, the Gladiators are placed just above them, courtesy of their superior net run rate.

Regarding Quetta, they have succumbed to two horrendous defeats in four outings after kickstarting their campaign with three successive wins. While Saud Shakeel and Jason Roy have consistently performed with the bat, Abrar Ahmed has shone brightly with the ball, scalping the most wickets for his team.

However, the worrisome form of their pace battery continues to be a headache for the inaugural champions. While Mohammad Hasnain and Wasim Jr have been expensive, Mohammad Amir has failed to make his mark in the tournament.

The veteran left-arm seamer has managed only five wickets in as many appearances at an ordinary economy of 8.94. Although he picked the crucial wicket of Shan Masood, Amir went at 11.50 runs per over in Quetta's previous encounter versus Karachi Kings.

However, considering they don't have any significantly better option, the Gladiators might continue with the speedster, giving him an opportunity to regain his mojo.

The rest of their lineup is expected to remain the same, with Roy, Shakeel, Nafay, Rossouw, Rutherford and Sarfaraz Ahmed forming the batting core.
