Mohammad Rizwan, one of the most prolific wicket-keeper batters from Pakistan, played as an aggressor on Sunday afternoon during Multan Sultans’ Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Quetta Gladiators at Multan Cricket Stadium.

And to make it look more embarrassing for the opposition, he targeted Mohammad Amir – one of the finest ever fast bowlers from Pakistan – to go berserk.

Batting first, Rizwan was facing Amir during the fourth over of Multan’s innings. The left-arm pacer bowled a shortish delivery, and Rizwan was perfectly anticipating it. The Multan skipper went on one knee and played an outrageous scoop shot for a huge six over deep fine leg.

Amir could not believe what just happened, while Rizwan, as usual, was in a playful mood after playing a sublime shot.

Meanwhile, Multan are in total control against Quetta, having raced to 101/1 at the end of 13 overs in Match 11 of the ongoing edition. They still have prolific power-hitters, such as Ifitikhar Ahmed, to come, which means the last season's runners-up are looking for a fine finish against Sarfaraz Ahmed and his boys.

Notably, Rizwan was the top run scorer in the PSL 2023. His partner-in-crime Babar Azam was second, leaving others way behind in the chart.
