Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had a memorable outing with the bat in the ongoing fifth Test against England at the picturesque HPCA International Stadium in Dharamsala.

Opening the batting alongside skipper Rohit Sharma, Jaiswal struck a belligerent 58-ball 57 before Shoaib Bashir outfoxed him in the 21st over.

However, before getting out, Jaiswal took on the young English spinner, smashing him for three massive sixes in a single over.

As the Indian openers bashed the visiting pacers to all parts of the ground, captain Ben Stokes brought Bashir into the attack to control the flow of runs. However, his tactic backfired on the Englishmen, with Jaiswal tearing him apart for three maximums.

As Bashir bowled a flighted delivery, Jaiswal stepped out of the crease and dispatched the ball over long off. When the English spinner offered slightly more room, the stylish southpaw hit it over the covers for another six.

However, the final six was like icing on the cake for the Indian fans, as Jaiswal smacked it straight over the bowler's head, collecting eighteen runs in this process.

After Jaiswal got out, Shubman Gill joined Rohit in the middle to steady the Indian ship. As of writing, the hosts were 127 for one, with Gill and Rohit batting on 18* and 52*, respectively.
