Varun Chakravarthy earned his maiden T20I call-up three years ago following his exceptional performance for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. However, after three modest outings in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Chakravarthy was sidelined from India's scheme of things. 

With KKR's former mentor Gautam Gambhir now leading as India's head coach, the mystery spinner has received a well-deserved recall into India's T20I squad. The Bangladesh series presents an exciting opportunity for him to showcase his guile and prove his mettle at the highest level.
