Veteran Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi continued his poor run in the IPL 2024, being dismissed for one in the ongoing clash against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The experienced cricketer's nemesis was none other than LSG's pace sensation Mayank Yadav, who cleaned him up with a pacy delivery.

The incident occurred during the nineteenth over of MI's innings when Nabi and Tim David were trying to ensure a fitting finish for the five-time champions.

LSG skipper KL Rahul's decision to bring Mayank Yadav back into the attack paid rich dividends, with the speedster dismissing Nabi with a ripper.

Bowling his first ball of the over, Mayank delivered a hard length ball, which clocked 143.1 KPH. Nabi went for a wild swing only to get comprehensively beaten and see the ball shattering the timber.

However, despite losing Nabi at the other end, Tim David fought till the end, ensuring a respectable total for MI despite early jitters. The swashbuckling Australian batter smashed 35 runs off just 18 balls, helping MI breach the 140-run mark.

Explosive batter Nehal Wadhera also played a pivotal role for Mumbai as he slammed 46 crucial runs before being castled by Mohsin Khan with an absolute jaffa.

With the ball gripping a bit off the surface, 143 could be a challenging total for LSG if the MI bowlers keep things tight with the ball.
