The Day 3 of the second Test match between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur turned out to be another frustrating day for cricket fans as no cricket was possible on second consecutive day despite no rain on Sunday.  As a result, the drainage system at the ground is now the centre of criticism, with many fans and cricket pundits claimning that the ground is unsuitable for international cricket.

There are plenty of videos and photos on social media highlighting the poor infrastructure at the Green Park Stadium, and one of them, where a fan states the harsh truth about the ground, is going viral on social media. In the video, the fan is seen talking about the poor drainage system at the ground and goes onto add that there is no rain around, and if it would have been any other ground, the match would have started. He also mentions that he does not see the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur hosting a international game after this huge blunder and also adds that the services at the ground are very poor.

Kanpur Test Heading Towards A Draw

The fan's opinion resonates with many other cricket lovers and even Tamim Iqbal on air mentioned that the drainage system at the ground is not good. So far, only 35 overs have been bowled in this Test match and it came on the opening day of the Test, where Bangladesh managed to score 107 runs and lost three wickets. The short phase of 35 overs was quite a riveting one, but now the game seems to be moving towards a draw with only two days left in the Test match. The weather is better for the last two days, but it remains to be seen what the condition of the outfield would be on Day 4.
