On Monday, Bangladesh will cross swords against Sri Lanka in the decider of the ongoing three-match ODI series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Riding on skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto's scintillating century, Bangladesh recorded a thumping six-wicket win in the first game. However, Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka played magnificent knocks to help Sri Lanka restore parity by securing a three-wicket victory in the subsequent game.

Ahead of the all-important finale, the Tigers dropped experienced batter Litton Das from their squad, as he was struggling with poor form. Known for his flamboyant batting, Litton has had a torrid run in ODIs of late, managing only 29 runs across his last five innings after the World Cup.

Jaker Ali, who had a stellar BPL 2024 season with the bat, has replaced Litton in Bangladesh's squad for the final ODI.

However, considering the game's importance, the hosts might rope in veteran batter Anamul Haque Bijoy to open the batting alongside Soumya Sarkar, who looked sublime with the bat in the previous game

Left-arm spinner Taijul Islam could also be dropped, as he has scalped a solitary wicket at a poor economy in two outings. He might be replaced by young leg spinner Rishad Hossain, who was impressive in the T20I leg.
