BCCI has released the retention rules for the mega auction of IPL 2025, and it has created lot of buzz with the apex board allowing six retentions this time around. There is also compulsion of selecting one uncapped player with a maximum limit set for two uncapped players.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, one of the most popular teams of the competition have always surprised fans and cricket pundits with their retentions, and with trophy still eluding them after 17 seasons, it would be interesting to see their choices for the next season. They had few talented uncapped players in their squad as well, and let's see which could be their possible uncapped retentions for IPL 2025.

Yash Dayal

Yash Dayal got his first call-up in Indian Test side recently, but did not get a chance to feature in the Playing XI. So, he is still an uncapped player and looks set to be retained in that category after his brilliant performance in the last season. Dayal was the leading wicket-taker for RCB in the last season with 15 wickets in 14 matches and bowled some tough overs in crunch situations.

So, with the left-arm seamer in national selector's radar and a good performance in domestic and IPL in recent times, Yash Dayal can be a good retention choice as an uncapped player for RCB.

Anuj Rawat

The wicketkeeper batter played for RCB in the last few seasons, and though he could not impress much as an opener, he did well in the 2024 season in the middle order. Overall, his performance in IPL has been a bit below-par, but he is rated very highly in domestic cricket and recently smashed 356 runs in 10 matches in Delhi Premier League. He hit his runs at a strike-rate of 156.83 and at an average of 44.50, and he could be the second choice for RCB if they decide to retain two uncapped players.
