Yashasvi Jaiswal has been one of the best young cricketers in recent times with consistent runs in Test and T20 cricket. His record especially in Test cricket has been brilliant and in the second Test against Bangladesh, he has taken his stocks a notch higher with twin-fifties. He hammered 72 of 51 balls in the first innings and on the final day in the run-chase of 95, he hit another quickfire fifty to make way for an easy chase.

The southpaw has shown great hunger for runs in this brief career so far, and also ended up as the leading run-scorer of this two-match Test series against Bangladesh. He was also the highest run-scorer in India's previous Test series against England, and has an average of around 65 in game's longest format.

Also, Jaiswal's knock in the first innings of the Kanpur Test was very crucial in putting India in a position to win the Test. India needed quick runs after only 35 overs were possible till the end of Day 3, and Jaiswal made sure that India break flurry of records like fastest team fifty and team hundred with his swashbuckling knock of 72.

India's Ultra-Aggressive Approach Stage Bangladesh's Whitewash

Along with Jaiswal, other Indian batters also batted aggressively and despite so many overs lost because of rain, India always went for a win. A lot of credit goes to bowlers as well, as the pitch was a good one to bat on. Indian bowlers though, spinner and pacers displayed great skills and knocked down Bangladesh for 233 and 146 in the first and second innings respectively. Also, with the win, India have consolidated their top position on the WTC table and have taken a big step towards their third consecutive final of World Test Championship.
