IND vs SA 4th T20I: India front runners for series win

India delivered a stunning all-round performance in the 3rd T20 to win the contest by 11 runs. Batting first, Tilak Varma scored a blazing century as the visitors finished with 219/6. In chase, Varun Chakaravarthy struck twice before he was taken to cleaners by Heinrich Klaasen. Against the odds, Marco Jansen kept the Proteas in the hunt with a mad inning of 54 off 17 balls.

However, Arshdeep Singh kept his nerves and defended 25 runs off the final over to seal an 11-run thriller for his side. India are 2-1 ahead in the 4-game series. Their overall performance has been solid so far. However, risky implosion in the death overs is something the think tank has to address. Additionally, the middle order, including captain Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh, are left with this final opportunity to prove themselves in a series that hasn’t gone their way.

IND vs SA 4th T20I: South Africa confident after Centurion fight

South Africa nearly chased a colossal total of 220 runs in the 3rd T20I against India at Centurion. Heinrich Klaasen kicked off the momentum with 41 off 22 balls before Marco Jansen ignited his inner beast to tonk 5 sixes and bring up his maiden T20I half-century. He scored 54 off just 17 balls to single-handedly keep Proteas in the hunt. However, the lone fight was not enough as South Africa fell short by 11 runs to go 1-2 down in the 4-game series.

Regardless, the hosts will be pumped after the fight they showed in a nearly-lost game. To ensure a comeback in the final game, Aiden Markram must control runs leaked by fast bowlers. Additionally, the top order, including the skipper himself, has to step up as the series is on the line. Any changes are unlikely in the setup as Markam will likely back the same playing XI.

IND vs SA 4th T20I: Wanderers Pitch Report

Johannesburg's wicket is pacey and will offer significant bounce to fast bowlers. However, once the new ball spell is passed, batters can score runs in middle overs. Spinners will have to toil hard as the surface won’t assist them a lot. As for weather, clouds will hover over the ground with minimal chances of rain. The average first innings score is 171 and toss won’t leave much impact on the end result.
