Heinrich Klaasen's sixes against India (Source:@viratgoback/X.com)
Heinrich Klaasen is one of the most dangerous batters in world cricket and when he gets going, it is very hard to stop him. In the last few years, he has played plenty of match-changing knocks, and his assault against spinners has always been the feature of his batting. Now, in the third T20I against India at Centurion, he once again displayed his might and blasted Varun Chakaravarthy for three consecutive sixes.
The brutal hitting happened in the 14th over of South Africa's innings when the equation at the start of the over was almost out of reach of the Proteas. They need 117 off just 42 balls and Klaasen decided to open his arms. He blasted a shortish delivery over deep mid-wicket first up and on the second ball, he tonked the ball into the roof of the SuperSport Park. It was again a touch shortish delivery that was blasted over the mid-wicket region with great disdain.
Klaasen Shows His Class Against Spin-Bowling Again
The third delivery was again a short one outside off from 'round the wicket and Heinrich Klaasen without much fuss blasted it over long on. The hitting brought back the memories of the T20 World Cup 2024 final when Klaasen took apart Axar Patel to almost win the game for South Africa.
Klaasen though ended up hitting the fourth ball of the over to Suryakumar Yadav at extra cover. However, the Indian skipper dropped the catch and the fifth ball was again smashed for a boundary. South Africa managed to get 23 runs from the over and Klaasen with his brutal hitting kept South Africa in the game.
