India are up against South Africa in the third T20I of the four match series at the SuperSpot Park in Centurion. The Indian team have taken a strong hold of the game courtesy of some brilliant batting by the two Indian youngsters, Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma.

India lost an early wicket in Sanju Samson after they were put to bat after Aiden Markram won the third toss of the series. However, after this Tilak Varma joined Abhishek Sharma in the middle and the duo tore apart the South African bowling attack.

Tilak Varma Showed Great Determination Despite Losing Partners

Even after the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma continued his good work and took the attack to the South African bowlers. India lost a few wickets in the middle and it look like the momentum of the game is changing. However, Varma stayed undeterred and kept one end strong for India.

Eventually Tilak Varma completed his maiden T20I Hundred in the 19th over of the innings. It was a full delivery by Lutho Sipamla which was smashed away past mid-off by Varma to reach the three figure mark for the first time in his T20I career.   It was his innings that India posted a fighting total of 219 in their 20 overs on a batting heaven at the Centurion. Notably, Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 107 off 56 deliveries. His innings was decorated with eight fours and seven maximums.
