The preparations for IPL 2025 are in full swing. All ten teams took part in a two-day intense battle at the mega-auction in Jeddah. The upcoming season of the cash-studded league will take place in March.

With around just three months left for IPL 2025, several teams are sweating hard over players' fitness that they bought at the auction. Following the mega-auction, the star players engaged in international cricket and are battling injuries.

This article will shed light on three players who are battling injuries at the moment.

1. Anrich Nortje - 6.50 Cr (KKR)

Defending champions KKR bought the South African speedster for a whopping 6.50 crore at the mega-auction. Meanwhile, the right-arm bowler has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against Pakistan following a toe fracture.

On Thursday, December 12, ICC confirmed that Nortje won't take part in the Pakistan T20Is and will visit an orthopaedic surgeon to get an update on the recovery period.

At present, KKR are sweating hard as Nortje has fractured the big toe of his left foot, and there is no update on the return time.

2. Josh Hazlewood- 12.50 Crores (RCB)

RCB's latest 12.50 crore recruit, Josh Hazlewood is also dealing injury as he missed the 2nd Test against India because of a side strain. The suspense continues to be around Josh's availability for the 3rd Test that starts on December 14 at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Hazlewood's injury seems to be less concerning for RCB as he was spotted putting in a few strides during the practice session but is yet to fully recover from the injury.

Nonetheless, the right-arm seamer confirmed that the injury is of such a low grade that he would have pushed himself to play the Adelaide Test if it was the last of the series.

3. Gerald Coetzee - 2.40 Cr (GT)

Gujarat Titans availed the services of Gerald Coetzee for IPL 2025 in the mega-auction. Coetzee starred in the first Test against Sri Lanka, but he missed the 2nd Test because of a groin injury.

He is also not a part of the current T20I squad against Pakistan. Further, Coetzee is not a part of the ODI squad for Pakistan. It is yet to be seen when will Coetzee return to the playing XI, but he will be fully fit by the time of IPL.
