The Kerala-based cricketer uploaded an AI-generated picture of himself dancing alongside Rajinikanth and captioned it “Anything is possible when it’s Thalaivar’s birthday.”

If there’s one thing that rivals Sanju’s passion for cricket, it’s his admiration for Rajinikanth. The Rajasthan Royals skipper has always been vocal about his fandom. Whether it’s catching first-day-first-show screenings of Rajini films or gushing about the Superstar in interviews, Sanju wears his love for Thalaiva on his sleeve.

Last year, during India’s tour of Ireland, Sanju attended a special screening of Rajinikanth’s blockbuster Jailer as a guest of honour. It was another feather in his cap as a die-hard fan, and he couldn’t stop talking about the experience.

But the cherry on top? Meeting Rajinikanth himself at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai last year. Sanju’s dream came true after 21 long years, and he didn’t hold back in sharing the moment with his fans.

Sanju has often reminisced about his childhood, saying he’s been a Rajinikanth fan since he was just seven years old.

Sharing a photo from the special meeting, Sanju wrote, “At the age of 7, already being a Super Rajni fan, I told my parents... See, one day I will go and meet Rajni sir in his house. After 21 years, that day has come when The Thalaivar invited me.”

Notably, the cricketer has credited the Superstar for shaping his early interest in Tamil cinema. In an interview with Ravichandran Ashwin, Sanju revealed that watching Rajini’s films helped him become fluent in Tamil despite Malayalam being his mother tongue.
