On Thursday, December 12, Mumbai Indians took to social media platforms to reveal their new jersey for IPL 2025. The five-time winners also announced a change in the principal partnership for the upcoming season.

They have replaced the previous sponsor 'Slice' with Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation (formerly L&T Switchgear) as the new principal partner. Talking about the new jersey, it has the original colours of blue and gold. Further, they have also added small details to the shirt by inserting the initials 'MI'.

The new jersey has received mixed reactions from the fans, as one section is heaping praise, while the other section is disappointed by the lack of creativity. Here is how the internet reacted to MI's new jersey for IPL 2025.

Fans Slam MI's New Jersey

Fans Happy With End Of Slice's Tenure

Besides rating the jersey, the fans were happy with the change of principal sponsorship as they believed that MI failed to deliver with Slice as their principal sponsors. Notably, MI's last title came in 2020 when they beat Delhi Capitals in the final.

Since then, they are struggling for a title and rather finished at the bottom of the table in IPL 2024, which marked Hardik Pandya's debut season as captain.

Nonetheless, speaking on the new partnership with Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, MI published a press release. "We are thrilled to welcome Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation as our principal partner—a brand that embodies innovation and performance. This partnership is built on the strong heritage of Lauritz Knudsen and the cricketing legacy that Mumbai Indians have crafted over the years. Together, we aim to build on the shared values that unite us, with our fans always at the heart of everything we do,” said the Mumbai Indians spokesperson.
