'Would Be Nice If..': Brendon McCullum Breaks Silence On Reports Of England Test Moving Out Pakistan

A few days ago, Pakistan cricket came under scrutiny after reports came forward that their upcoming three-Test match home series against England could be moved out of Pakistan. 

The report mentioned that stadiums in Pakistan are undergoing renovation as the 1992 World Cup winners are all set to host the Champions Trophy in February 2025. Cricbuzz stated that one of the Tests can be played in UAE or Sri Lanka.

Brendon McCullum Reacts To The Reports!

In the latest events, England coach Brendon McCullum has broken silence on the matter and stated that they cannot pick a team unless they have clarity as to where they are playing. 

“We don’t really know what’s happening in Pakistan but we can’t select a team until we know where we are going to play. It would be nice if, over the next couple of days, we found out," McCullum said as per Cricket Pakistan.

 "Then we'll sit down and make sure we've got the right team for the right conditions and the right opposition," he further added.

Pakistan-Bangladesh 2nd Test Moved Out Of Karachi

The series is set to start on October 7, with Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi selected as the three venues. One of these Tests can be shifted out of Pakistan. 

Talking about Karachi, recently the PCB shifted the 2nd Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh from Karachi to Rawalpindi Stadium because of the renovation work in the stadium. It is reports that Karachi would not host any match till 2025 as the renovation work is in full-swing.

After months of speculation about who will succeed Matthew Mott as England's white-ball coach, the ECB went ahead with McCullum to also look after the white-ball events alongside him serving as Three Lions' red-ball head coach.
