The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are taking on the Barbados Royals in the ninth match of the CPL 2024. The game will be played at Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots started off their CPL 2024 campaign with a win in the first game against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. But after that, they have lost three games on the bounce. Despite a valiant fight in their last game, they failed to chase down a record score, which has affected their position in the points table. The Patriots are currently at the bottom of the table and are in desperate need of a win to climb up the points table and stay alive in the tournament.

On the other hand, the Barbados Royals displayed their strength and might in their first game against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Batting second in that game, the Royals were tasked with chasing down 146 runs, which they did comfortably in just 15.3 overs, losing only a single wicket. The Royals will be looking to maintain their momentum and form and maintain their position in the top half of the points table.

SKN vs BR: Captain Quotes

Here is what the captains had to say during the toss -

Rovman Powell (Barbados Royals Captain): We will bowl first. Looks like a good surface and will look to bowl well and chase it down. We want to play good cricket going forward and hope to do well than we did last season. Hopefully. we do well. We have made one change today and it is a forced one.

Andre Fletcher (St Kitts & Nevis Patriots Captain): Yeah for sure, good to have him back. Odean Smith misses out, Wanindu Hasaranga comes in. Yeah, we have some plans, hopefully, they come off. We have been put into bat, the batters need to make sure we put up a good total for our bowlers to defend.
