Former India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricketer Dinesh Karthik has named Pakistan as his favourite opponent in international cricket. 

When it comes to intensity, the rivalry between India and Pakistan is second to none in a cricket field. 

Since independence from the British rule, the South Asian giants have had a neck-to-neck rivalry, making their face-offs enthralling for cricket fans across the globe.

Meanwhile, India's IPL great Dinesh Karthik has termed Pakistan as his favourite rival team. According to Cricket Pakistan, the seasoned campaigner stated that he enjoyed playing against the Men in Green, considering the electrifying intensity of the India vs Pakistan encounters. 

He also revealed that he always tried to bring his A-game against the arch-rivals and got immensely satisfied whenever it happened. 

"My favourite team to play against is Pakistan because there was so much fan following and the rivalry was so high always. It was always a lot of fun playing a game against Pakistan. When you do well against them, its even better," Karthik said. 

Karthik faced Pakistan in six Tests, three T20Is and four ODIs, aggregating 339 runs across formats. After retiring from Indian cricket and the IPL, the keeper-batter is going to represent Paarl Royals in the SA20 next year.
