As Team India prepares for their much-anticipated multi-format series against Bangladesh, young cricketer Sarfaraz Khan has expressed deep admiration for the legendary Virat Kohli.

The 26-year-old also had kind words for India’s star batter and captain, Rohit Sharma, describing him as more than just a teammate.

"Rohit bhai is different. He makes you feel comfortable, like an elder brother. I enjoy playing with him. He never treats you like a junior. He’s such a positive person, and the way he talks boosts your confidence."

Sarfaraz went on to compare Rohit to Aamir Khan's character from the movie Lagaan.

“Lagaan is my favorite movie, and just like Aamir Khan assembles his team in the film, Rohit bhai reminds me of him. It feels like he's part of your family,” Sarfaraz added.

The upcoming Test series also marks the first assignment for new head coach Gautam Gambhir. Under Gambhir’s leadership, the Indian team will be eager to secure a series win and build momentum. Gambhir, who previously guided the team in white-ball formats, will now focus on the longest format of the game.

The Tests against Bangladesh will be critical for India’s aspirations, not only for securing a series victory but also for advancing towards their goal of reaching a third consecutive World Test Championship final.
