Seems like Rohit Sharma has become everyone's fan-favourite in the Indian dressing room. For the younger players, he is like their elder brother, with whom they can share everything. For the seniors, he is a calming presence, who makes right decisions everytime.

Rohit took over the captaincy mantle post the disastrous T20 World Cup 2021, and format by format, he has built a strong team capable of winning almost everywhere. With Virat Kohli relinquishing the captaincy, there was a fear that the team won't be able to adapt quickly to Rohit's tactics.

But to everyone's surprise, the transition has been smooth and the team morale is at an all-time high. Sarfaraz Khan, the Mumbai batter who made his India debut during the Test series against England sees Rohit as his big brother, and stated that the Indian skipper treats everyone equally.

"He is very different. He makes you feel very comfortable. Rohit Sharma is like a big brother. We enjoy a lot while playing under him. First, I saw him from the outside, now I have played with him to experience it. doesn't treat us like juniors, he treats everybody equally," Sarfaraz said to Jio Cinema.

The talented Mumbai batter finally broke through in the Indian squad after consistent performances in the domestic setup. When he finally came to the Indian side, it was Rohit who made him comfortable in the new environment. Sarfaraz's favourite movie is Lagaan, and he has likened Rohit to Aamir Khan.

"Lagaan is my favourite movie. Like how Aamir Khan made that team in the movie, in my eyes, Rohit Sharma is like Aamir Khan for this team," he added.

Both Sarfaraz and Rohit will be seen in action when India take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, starting September 19.
