Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, once again, showcased to the world what makes his cricketer so special.

Kohli slammed his 48th One-Day International (ODI) last evening at Pune where India locked horns against Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and handed his side a comfortable win.

However, what made Kohli's flawless hundred sightly controversial was umpire Richard Kettleborough's dubious decision. The on-field umpire opted to not call for a wide by Nasum Ahmed, who bowled a faster one down the legside, which at a glance was wide.

Speaking to India Today, former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh joked that even Kettleborough wanted to see the Indian legend slam an ODI century.

Singh did clarify that it was indeed a wide delivery, however, found no complaint about the decision.

Here's what Singh said

"Well, I think that Wide ball was actually, you know, it was quite wide. Nevertheless, let's leave that aside. I think Virat Kohli batted beautifully. You know, maybe not just, the Indians but also the umpire also wanted to see Virat Kohli getting that century. That was probably the reason, but it is good to see him in such form. He is so beautifully. And he got that brilliant 100 for India. And that's what makes everyone happy. No complaint on why it was not given wide whatsoever."

Kohli will now look to continue his form against New Zealand when India plays the Black Caps on Sunday.
