In a surprising revelation, Pakistan's cricket team captain, Babar Azam, has shared his  admiration for Indian cricket stadiums during the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The right-handed batting sensation, often hailed as one of the brightest talents in modern cricket, marveled at the unique charm of these iconic venues.

This revelation takes on added significance as it marks his maiden visit to India, a noteworthy occasion due to the prolonged absence of bilateral series between the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan.

Babar Azam spoke passionately about the opportunity to play in India, where cricket is not just a sport but a way of life. He underscored the distinctiveness of each Indian stadium, highlighting the diverse atmospheres and experiences they offer.

"We are here for the first time, and we do not get these opportunities often. Every stadium in India has a different vibe and a different feel. So, trying to enjoy that wherever we go," expressed Babar Azam in a Star Sports interview.

Pakistan's journey in the ODI World Cup 2023 has been a rollercoaster, filled with triumphs and challenges. They started their campaign with a resounding 81-run victory against the Netherlands, showcasing their prowess in the tournament.

Another significant win followed when they defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets, boosting their aspirations of making a deep impact in the competition.

However, their highly anticipated encounter against arch-rivals India ended in disappointment, with a seven-wicket defeat. Babar Azam and his team now face a crucial clash with five-time World Champions, Australia, at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on October 20. This match is of paramount importance for Pakistan as they aim to secure their position in the competition and set their sights on World Cup glory.

Babar Azam's appreciation for Indian cricket stadiums underscores the unifying power of cricket, bridging gaps and transcending borders, as the cricketing world witnesses a promising young talent expressing admiration for the rich history and fervent following of the sport in India.
