Pakistan suffered a shock series defeat at the hands of Bangladesh on Tuesday. The Shan Masood led side endured a tough outing as the Tigers made a mockery of the Pakistan side and won the Rawalpindi Test by 6-wickets.

Shehzad comes down hard at Pakistan after shocking loss!

Not many expected Pakistan to be whitewashed, but the visiting Bangladesh side were at their imperial best and schooled the Pakistan team in all three departments of the game.

Interestingly, in both the Tests, Pakistan had the upper hand, but they allowed the match to slip away from their grasp, especially in the second Test, when Litton Das' brilliant ton rescued Bangladesh's sinking ship.

With the defeat, Pakistan have also crashed out of the WTC finale race and former cricketer, Ahmed Shehzad has lashed out at the side for their poor outing. Shehzad came down hard at the Pakistan side, stating that they were outplayed in both the Tests, but at the same time, praised the grit and determination of the Tigers.

"Bangladesh has whitewashed Pakistan in their own home conditions. You don't know how to play, you're not capable enough to play [directed towards the Pakistani team]. All their practice sessions have also been conducted after they arrived in Pakistan. The condition their country was in at that moment of time was also not that good. They have come to Pakistan and have outplayed you without breaking a sweat."

He added: "The manner in which they played their cricket, the way they dominated, the approach with which they batted, the style in which they bowled, Rana bowled really well. Their batters have displayed the unwavering spirit one requires to succeed in Test cricket. Their bowlers have demonstrated the channels in which one should bowl, and all you were left is blaming the pitch."

Babar, Shan Masood come under scrutiny

After a disastrous series with the bat, Pakistan's two key player, Babar Azam and Shan Masood have come under the scanner. Both had a torrid time with the bat in the series, and experts have questioned their place in the side.

Masood is yet to win a Test match for Pakistan, and if he loses the next Test against England, which begins next month, then his captaincy could be under serious threat.

Similarly, Babar has not scored a Test fifty since December 2022, and hes too, is feeling the heat after an underwhelming performance.
