‘Least Bit Insecure About What People…’ - Ashwin Reveals His Pros & Cons After Dharamsala Win

No matter what Ravichandran Ashwin does on the field, whether it is in a good way or a controversial way, he has always been vocal about it.

There was nothing opposite on Saturday (March 9) either when he took the mic after India cruised past England in Dharamsala with an innings-and-64-run victory.

In a long conversation with host broadcaster Star Sports, Ashwin, who just completed his 100th Test for India, was asked about his frequent experiments on the field. The 37-year-old replied he doesn’t care about what people think, and instead, he invests energy on good feedback only.

"Firstly, I am the least bit insecure about what people feel about me. I have kept my ears and eyes open to listen to good feedback. Unless I try I will never be able to learn. If I am confident that I can try something I don't hold back. I feel times have rolled along," Ashwin told the host broadcasters.

Furthermore, Ashwin noted that technology has taken the world by storm lately, and one must strive even harder to be better than the rest.

"With the number of footage and video analysis going around, people can easily line you up and study you. Not saying sticking to one method won't work. Thankfully experimenting and learning have helped me. Can't say this is the only way," he added.

As the five-match Test series ended in a 4-1 scoreline, the Indian players will now be divided into franchises for IPL 2024, which will begin on March 22.
