Of late, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been found to be pulling the legs of young Indian players with his hilarious remarks.

The Hitman opened up about those conversations that were caught on stump-mic, including his infamous 'koi garden mein ghumega to...' comment, which contained some abusive words.

In the absence of players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, and KL Rahul, the Indian team had quite a few young players in the squad during the five-match Test series against England.

Rohit led the team extremely well, resulting in a series victory by 4-1. With so many youngsters in the squad, a witty Rohit was seen teasing them during the Tests.

Among all the witty remarks, the viral comment made during the Test series against England was the one where he was seen advising the youngsters not to field like someone roaming around in a garden.

"I enjoyed handling these guys. They enjoyed it as well. Sometimes I say a few things that get caught on camera. But that's me. That's how I am. Not to hurt anyone but to ensure they remember they have a job," Rohit said.

"I was very pleased to see everyone engaged, which was absolutely brilliant. That is what this whole thing is all about, where I am telling them, 'no one should be wandering around in the garden here'. At the end of the day, try to make sure to get the job done," he added.

Following a taxing five-Test series, Rohit recently joined the Mumbai Indians camp. There is considerable anticipation surrounding his batting performance in the IPL 2024, especially with the T20 World Cup looming immediately after.

In the meantime, Hardik Pandya's appointment as captain of the team has relieved Sharma of his leadership responsibilities. With this burden lifted, the Hitman is expected to play in his natural aggressive style.
