Australia and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Ellyse Perry found herself amazed as she witnessed fans in Bengaluru coming together on roads in order to support RCB following their victory in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.

In the final match of the WPL 2024, the Royal Challengers defeated Delhi Capitals (DC). Batting first, the Capitals managed to score only 113 runs before they chase it down easily with Perry and Richa Ghosh at the crease.

Perry took to her Instagram story to share a video of fans cheering for the RCB women’s team after the win with the caption, “Incredible scenes! You RCB fans are amazing.”

Throughout the WPL 2024, Perry showed her class with outstanding performances with both bat and ball.

In the last league game, she took 6 wickets for 15 runs and scored an unbeaten 40, helping RCB defeat defending champions Mumbai to secure a spot in the playoffs.

The legendary all-rounder continued her impressive form in the playoffs, scoring 66 runs and picking up a wicket against the same opponent before top-scoring for RCB in the final.

Perry also claimed the Orange Cap with 347 runs in nine matches at an average of 69.40. RCB's victory not only marked their first win against the Capitals in the WPL but also ended their 16-year-long wait for a title.

Currently, Perry and her RCB teammate Sophie Molineux are in Bangladesh for an ODI and T20I series with the Australian team. Due to their national commitments, Perry and Molineux were unable to attend the RCB Unbox event.
