Two names emerged as clear favourites Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. While both players have earned praise for their exceptional performances, Yashasvi Jaiswal has been singled out by several Australian cricketers for his ability to adapt across formats.
In the viral video clip, without hesitation, Smith and Starc backed Jaiswal and even praised his technique, temperament, and flair. Lyon, Australia’s premier off-spinner, also spoke about Jaiswal’s ability to counter spin, which has made him a standout player in Indian conditions.
It is important to note that, Travis Head and Cameron Green voiced their support for Shubman Gill. They further stated and praised Gill's ability to score freely at the top of the order, combined with his impressive technique.
